We were commissioned by the Department of Water Affairs to establish the location of all boreholes owned by the OR Tambo District Municipality.
JG Afrika also assessed groundwater abstraction by test-pumping to establish long-term monitoring networks.
The aim was to determine suitable locations for regional groundwater-monitoring points for time series data on regional effects on groundwater.
Some 160 production boreholes were identified for detailed assessment.
