DRAKENSTEIN PRISON WASTEWATER TREATMENT WORKS

JG Afrika was responsible for providing a full scope of services to incorporate the Drakenstein Prison wastewater treatment works into a new 3 Ml/d BNR activated sludge plant.

Our involvement in this project spanned preliminary and detailed design and documentation through to contract administration and site supervision.

New infrastructure included a clarifier, anoxic tank, intake works, a FeCl dosing unit and vertical shaft aerators.  Modifications were made to the existing reactor and clarifier to improve the effluent quality and ease of operation.
