HYDROLOGICAL STUDY OF NACALA DAM IN MOZAMBIQUE

We were involved in the feasibility study and detailed design to rehabilitate and raise the Nacala Dam wall in Mozambique.

A detailed rainfall patching process was deployed due to limited rainfall records and Spreadsheet-based methods were developed specially for the project.

Stream flows from a similar catchment were used to determine the system yields of the dam storage, while further hydrological input included determining the environmental-flow requirements.
