We were appointed by the Department of Water Affairs and the University of Zululand to develop 14 monitoring borehole positions that targeted the shallow “sugar sands” of the Kwambonambi and the deep semi-confined Uloa formations.

Test-pumping was deployed to determine the aquifer characteristics and respective interactions between the deep and shallow aquifers.

Water-quality sampling was undertaken to establish geochemical signatures and two of the monitoring positions were developed for production purposes.
