KUSILE POWER STATION – NEW 60-YEAR ADF

The 4800 MW Kusile power station is one of two new coal-fired power stations being constructed by Eskom, and an integral part of the power station is the ADF that will store the residue of the coal combustion process for the life of the power station.

Zitholele JV, comprising JG Afrika, Zitholele Consulting and Golder Associates, was appointed to undertake the extension of the Kulisele ADF and appurtenant structures.

JG Afrika undertook the basic and detailed design of a pollution control dam complex and a combination of pollution and clean water dam complex.

An integral part of the power station is the ADF that will store the residue of the coal combustion process for the life of the station.
