KHAYELITSHA DOUBLE-TRACK RAILWAY EXTENSION

We were appointed as the lead consulting engineer for the design of a double-track railway extension of about 4 km to the current PRASA-Metrorail passenger railway link between Bonteheuwel and Khayelitsha Stations, Cape Town.

JG Afrika was directly involved in the design and construction management of the civil works, perway works and fencing contract, in addition to coordinating other specialists as the lead consultant.

We were also responsible for quality control and perway material procurement during the construction stage and ultimately for professional signoff on completion.
