JG Afrika undertook the feasibility study, detailed design and construction supervision to rehabilitate and raise the Nacala Dam wall in Mozambique.

The works involved the raising of the existing dam wall, the diversion of the national road from its previous alignment over the dam wall crest, the construction of an uncontrolled ogee horseshoe-shaped spillway, and the installation of a new outlet works and pump station to deliver increased capacity to a new water treatment works.

Parallel to construction work, and in conjunction with local partner Conseng, we implemented the resettlement of some 20 families by means of newly constructed housing.
