Gert Fourie is a highly accomplished civil engineer and seasoned project leader with over 34 years of experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects across South Africa and internationally. As Branch Manager of our Johannesburg office, Gert provides strategic leadership with a strong focus on client service, technical excellence, and sustainable project delivery.
Throughout his career, Gert has played a pivotal role in the planning, design, and implementation of major infrastructure initiatives in the transport, water, and energy sectors. His deep understanding of both public and private sector infrastructure needs allows him to navigate complex project environments and deliver cost-effective, high-impact outcomes.
Prior to joining our team, Gert held senior leadership roles in the consulting engineering industry, most recently serving as a Regional Director. His areas of expertise include project management, contract administration, stakeholder engagement, and business development.
Gert is passionate about mentoring the next generation of engineers and fostering strong, long-term client partnerships. Known for his collaborative and values-driven leadership style, he is committed to innovation, engineering excellence, and creating lasting value through infrastructure.
Outside of work, Gert loves hitting the road or trails for a good run and never shies away from an outdoor challenge. It’s his way of staying energized and balanced—both in life and in leadership. As a proud Comrades Marathon runner, he brings the same endurance, focus, and determination to his professional life as he does to every kilometre on race day.
