I am a professionally registered Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) and Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr CPM) with over 35 years of experience in the water sector. As a Technical Director and Discipline Head of the Water Design Section at JG Afrika, I lead a team of up to 15 professionals in the design and delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects across South Africa and beyond.


My expertise spans bulk water supply and treatment, wastewater treatment works, water reticulation, mine water, solid waste, Water Use Licencing and municipal asset assessments. I’ve successfully managed multidisciplinary teams on major projects across Southern Africa and have international experience from working on construction projects in the UK.


I am responsible for the technical, financial, and operational management of our water design team, with a focus on business development, quality control, project delivery, and strategic oversight. I report to the Regional Branch Manager on local projects and directly to the CEO on African and International assignments.


I enjoy spending time with my family and have two children currently at University, spare time is often filled with sports such as Golf, Padel and Squash. I also enjoy working the restoration of a 1980 MG B Sportscar.


Countries I’ve worked in include South Africa, Mozambique, Lesotho, Botswana, Malawi, Eswatini, Ethiopia, and the UK.
