Senior Resident Engineer – Pretoria (Ref JHB0096)

JG Afrika is looking to employ a Senior Resident Engineer with strong experience in road rehabilitation.
This is a contract position that will run for approximately 14 months and will be based on site in Pretoria.
The anticipated project start date is May/June.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This will be night work and will involve localised patching and overlay of the entire carriageway.

Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of a BSc or a B Tech in Civil Engineering
Must be professionally registered as a Pr Eng, or Pr Tech Eng.

Experience:

Must have a minimum of 10+ years’ site experience on similar road rehabilitation projects as a Senior RE.
Experience with asphalt overlays is essential.

Skills:

Proficiency in civil engineering principles and practices.
Expertise in asphalt overlay techniques and materials.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project management.
Ability to plan, coordinate, and oversee construction activities.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Experience in budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Compliance and Safety: Commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance.
