TRANSNET FREIGHT RAIL WASTE LICENSE APPLICATION

Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) appointed us to undertake the waste license application process for the proposed rehabilitation of contaminated land at the Sasolburg diesel depot.

An initial site visit undertaken by JG Afrika identified issues that prompted the Department of Environmental Affairs to request that a second phase contamination assessment be undertaken.

We submitted a draft Basic Assessment Report and Environmental Management Plan to TFR and a final report was submitted to DEA following a 40 day Public Review Period.
