NORTHERN WASTEWATER TREATMENT WORKS

We were responsible for the full scope of services for the Northern wastewater treatment works (NWTW), including preliminary and detailed design, documentation, contract administration and site supervision.

Three 8 m diameter reinforced concrete vortex degritters with an average dry weather flow capacity of 150 Ml/d were installed at Unit 3 to replace three gravity settling units.

The project also included the stainless steel airlift pipework and a unique fluidisation process using two pumps to pump screened raw effluent.
