KAMFERSDAM AND POSTMASBURG RAILWAY LINE RE-SIGNALLING

JG Afrika provided rail design and engineering management for the perway and civil engineering works for the re-signalling between Kamfersdam (on the main-line north of Kimberley) and Postmasburg, on the line to Sishen and Hotazel.

JG Afrika was also appointed as lead perway and civil design consultant to rationalise the track layout by removing redundant tracks and turnouts through about 19 stations and yards.

In addition to bringing the track geometry to within the correct standards, the new designs facilitate improved maintenance of the infrastructure.
