Several years of severe drought, exacerbated by alien plant invasion, resulted in water restrictions in the Gamtoos Valley, Eastern Cape. JG Afrika provided advice and support to the Gamtoos Irrigation Board who were responsible for managing the available water resources available to farmers. The Board proved to be a shining example of excellent local water resources management and was the subject of a WIN-SA case study undertaken by JG Afrika.
