JG Afrika was appointed by Eskom to undertake the detail design of the new ADF (Ash Dam Facility) at Camden power station. We invited Zitholele Consulting and Golder Associates to form a consortium to undertake this project.
The objective of the project was to design a new ADF and associated infrastructure at Camden power station to store ash produced from the Camden power station from 2017 to 2033.
JG Afrika was responsible for the geotechnical investigation for the entire facility as well as for the detail design of the new pollution control dam complex for the ADF.
Together with Golder Associates, we undertook construction supervision for the entire works at the new ADF and appurtenant works at Camden.
